#Day30 2017JAN31

I woke up at 9 am with a bad headache. I slept late last night. I checked my Kakao and found I wasn't dreaming the chat. It really happened!
I decided to keep myself busy today. I started reading books I found yesterday. I found one where it describes deliberately about 'Ohabi Andolon' I am not sure how accurate the history described there though. I tried to avoid my phone all day. My friends were supposed to come and I asked them not to come. I watched an action movie which didn't have any story. I don't know why they fought that much literally!
My mother made some pitha which is locally known as 'haath-chani pitha' It was like very tiny soft  'tteok' aka rice cake. Cooked with milk, coconut and ofcourse sugar. There were other ingredients for flavor like Cinnamon, Cardamom etc. Let's just call it sweet 'tteokpoki'
I had fish curry, lentils and leaves for dinner. I wrote for a while and after finishing one chapter I felt I should write in first person. So I rewrote the whole chapter.

#Day29 2017JAN30

So today I brought out all the books we have stored without care in our store room. I managed to bring out two sacks of books. Yes, they were in sacks! My family can be this cruel.
Anyway, I found one is full of my elder brother's text book along with mine. I didn't know my mother were reserving those.
Another bag was full of madrasa books, monthly magazines and some real books. I found three books for MBA originally printed in USA and Singapore. I felt so bad that I study with photocopy of books sometimes use the pdf because the original printed ones are so super expensive!
My uncle studied in Madrasa and completed his study from Chittagong University while staying at our place. All these books were from him and he somehow refusing to take these back to his place. The condition of the books aren't the best, but readable.
I think I can spend my rest of the vacation with the novels I managed this time.

#Day28 2017JAN29

I woke up and was really hungry. I shouldn't have skipped my dinner. Anyway, today I had to do some laundry work.
I had spicy shrimp for lunch. Then I read some and while watching Australia Open match between Federar and Nadal, I fall asleep. When I woke up, Federar already won the match!
I had spicy pitha which is locally known as 'Nunaas pitha' at evening. It was nice.
I watched Indian Idol (Ref: photo)

Then I found Harry Potter on HBO so you know what to do when there's Harry Potter, right?

#Day27 2017JAN28

I started working on my translation nothing to be excited,  it's just first few words I finished on my very first day. Kudos to my motivation!

I woke up comparatively early. I couldn't sleep well at night. I watched a movie, The Unnamed. It was a nice one. After that I kept staring at ceiling and couldn't sleep. Anyway, from morning I kept reading online stories. I had my lunch with "Rui Macche er Do-peyaja" Loved that!
At evening I was tired and slept.
Ah, my friend wanted to meet me. I declined the idea.
At night I started watching another movie but soon I got distracted somehow. I watched news.

#Day26 2017JAN27

I woke really early and figured out it is already 8 in the morning. Then I remembered it's Friday, we have weekend on Fridays.  So everyone was asleep that made me feel I woke up super early.
My mother cooked 'Polaw' for lunch. We had Polaw with beef and pigeon. I know, in Korea the thought of eating pigeon meat makes one sick. In Bangladesh,  people love pigeons.  Even my uncle used to pet or should I say he had a farm?
Anyway,  eating pigeon is a bad idea. They barely have any muscles so it is basically just bones.

Anyway,  I had "Gajorer Haluwa" for evening snacks. Now that was super tasty!  I never liked this sweet thing (erm, maybe dessert?)  made of carrots before. It was yum!
I almost finished the book I borrowed from my friend once again. I had forgot some stories memory betrays!
Today I snatched another tshirt from my younger brother. Well, I didn't bring my clothes here and I can't wear my old clothes because I don't like them anymore. I prefer this white tottenham  jersey instead. *wink*

#Day25 2017JAN26

#Day25
Last night I slept while thinking about a story and morning I woke without having a single clue of it. After breakfast I did some laundry and read some in wattpad. I also put an old story there. I afraid not many Bengali reader are available in wattpad though. After lunch I went out to meet two friends. My friend made tea for us. No doubt she is so good at this. I borrowed a book from her.
Anyway,  today I visited Sailors Colony: 02. Me and my friend weren't allowed to enter but we insisted saying we were students of the school inside. Which partially true. We both were from Bangladesh Navy School, just the ine situated in Sailors Colony: 01. Oh well, maybe my friend finished her kindergarten from this one. I don't know. Ir doesn't matter, because still we have memories in this colony. I along with some friends once broke in into a school for special kids and was red handed by the guards. Of course there are some other memories too. It is funny, being a civilian I have memories in that sailors colony.

I noticed the children playground is motivated now. The small kindergarten is bigger than some colleges in Bangladesh. I remember there were times several familiar faces were visible in colony streets.  Today, I met no familiar face. Not a single one! While walking around we saw a bunch of kids playing with a log (Ref: Photo). I can't remember seeing so many almost same aged children together in Korea in my last two years. Once again realized the density of population in this country.
Me and my friend took a rickshaw on our way back to home. Like the old times, after finishing our coaching we used to take the same road.
At night I read the book.I borrowed and figured out I read it before. Basically  I re-read it. My younger brother is suffering from fever. Even last year when I came home, he fall sick. Now he is blaming me for falling sick.
Yes, that's the stupid I deal with everyday here. I hope, he'll get well soon though.

#Day24 2017JAN25

I played "Never have I ever" with Dir through kakao and slept late. As a result I woke up when everyone from my family went out to do their business.  It is weird, my mother gave up waking me up in the morning.
Anyway, I had so called breakfast with 'ruti' (handmade bread) and 'alu vaji' aka potato fry. This isn't even close to French fry though.
I didn't do much like most other days.
I read. I watched a movie. Like any other Indian movie lots of mistake were spotted.
Now a days, whenever I watch any movie I keep thinking what would be the "Mistakes of Bollywood Movies" video on that certain one.
I had some tropical fruits like mango, guava and pomegranates.
My mother made 'Faluda' today. It's basically a  very cold dessert. Milk, Sagu ( Metroxylon sagu), noodles, edible jelly, fruits etc are used to make it. I just realized eating cold noodles not only a Korean thing.

#Day23 2017JAN24

I couldn't sleep well at night. I have no idea why!
Today I had total veg meal at noon. Oh not really, there were shrimp and egg. Anyway, for some reasons I am getting rashes on my skin. I believe that's the result of some type of allergy and I'm trying to figure out what exactly I'm allergic to.
I read a very good story today. That inspired me to write. Well, one chapter is better than writing nothing.
Oh, at evening I had mango.
A real mango! This is not the season of mango and my mother stored the mango from last summer. It was very much delicious and there wasn't any change with the taste.
At dinner we had chicken and rice. I had to drink milk before I went to bed.

#Day22 2017JAN23

Again I get back to my abnormally lazy life. I woke up and had my food. I started reading a novel. I liked the chemistry between characters and thought about my unfinished stories. I just keep thinking about them; that's it.
I had my lunch with dry fish aka "Shutki Vuna".It was spicy and salty. Around evening I felt tired and had a nap. I woke up and had some snacks. I wanted some real caffeine in my body but no luck with that. My mother asked me to tutor my younger brother. I watched Sherlock with him instead. Not the best home tutor,I guess.

I was reading ebook when I heard my father called my name. My parents wanted me to talk with them. I am already done with my abroad life style and student life. There wasn't much to talk from my side. So basically I remain silent amd that seems like very upsetting for my mother. My father wanted to bring random topics and I ended up with a lecture on evolution and the experience of wohler on 1828 about organic chemistry. Don't think that's not the discussion they wanted to have though.

#Day21 2017JAN22

For some reasons I couldn't sleep well at night. I read a short story, surfed on internet. No luck! However, I woke up comparatively early. I didn't want to eat anything for breakfast but my mother insisted me to eat at least a banana.
After shower I had a quick bite and went out to meet a friend. Three of us were from same school. Listened a lot of stories and made plan for "future". We walked a lot. Even though my sandals weren't comfortable anymore, I didn't complain. We then took a rickshaw and headed to KGN, a food shop near M A Aziz Stadium. We ordered Naan, Porota and Spicy Chicken. They served the chicken like Koreans serve 'Jjigae'. Even the color was similar. I was so happy suddenly.

It wasn't spicy but mild. Anyway, I enjoyed Naan after a while. We don't really get original Naan in Korea.
We walked for a while and two of us take taxy on our way back to home. Of course there was heavy traffic.
When reached home, my mother complained why I didn't receive the phone call. I showed her I didn't get any call. Seems like the phone network is troubling again. Anyway, I found my mother bought some Naan for evening snacks. But I eat half of one as dinner with beef bone stew.

#Day20 2017JAN21

I wrote a post and it is being published for 6 hours!
I don't know what's wrong with this blogger app. I found that post isn't even saved in drafts.
Nice!
-_-
So, not going to describe things again.
In short,
me friend, two high school teachers.

#Day19 2017JAN20

I woke up before 6.30 in the morning.  It was sad to see my younger brother need to go coaching early morning even though It's weekend.  Reminded me my high school days. Waking up early in winter morning was a curse!
My mother cooked Polaw, Beef, Fish and Eggplant fry for lunch. We also had fresh salad. I wonder how come almost every fish she cooks nowadays had eggs! Anyway, it was a very heavy meal. Before we had our food, all guys went to the mosque to say special Jumma Prayer of Friday.
I recited some verses from Qur'an too. I got this book when I was 10 years old, first learned to read Qur'an. I denied to read my mother's one because there wasn't any translation.  What's the purpose of reading a book if you don't understand what it says?
However,  I had 'Chira Polaw' on evening.   'Chira' is flattened rice and my mother cooked 'wet chira' in a way so that it tastes both spicy and sweet. Weird combination of taste, I know.
Because of my coughing,  after dinner my mother made me to drink lukewarm water mixed with honey. This time there was some ginger flavor and smell of cloves too.
Me and my father watched the.inauguration ceremony of US president Donald J Trump. We talked random political issues too, like good old days!
Then everyone went to bed. My body was rejecting sleep so I kept surfing on internet till I felt tired enough to sleep.

#Day18 2017JAN19

I woke up super late. My mother wasn't happy about it. I took my shower early and draw some pictures on my brother's practical notebook.  It is totally unfair but I was too bored so why not keep myself busy?
Soon I lost my interest on drawing.  I chatted with some friends. My father informed there is a wedding invitation at night if I want to join.
In Chittagong,  you don't need to be close with bride or groom to get invited in a wedding program. You can just go to the place where the ceremony is taking place, have your meal and return home. That's what most invited people do. Only the close relatives and friends get chance to engage with the whole thing.
Anyway,  firstly I had no idea whose wedding it was. Lastly and most importantly I was too lazy to go out for that. Of course I didn't tell my father these reasons.
One friend informed that, she and her friends are planning to visit 'Khoiyachora Waterfall'. Seems like it became a trend among youth to go there. However,  as I went there very recently I passed the offer.
I had a very good nap around evening. At night, while watching some news on TV my father suddenly said, "it's an earthquake!"
Me and my mother didn't feel anything.  My elder brother came from the next room and said he also felt a tiny shake.
I didn't buy their story and checked out on online. The latest earthquake was in USA. There's no chance it could be felt here in Chittagong.  The last earthquake on this city was two weeks ago.
We laughed about what might these two guys felt, if it wasn't earthquake.
I recovered from the fever totally. But I still do have cough. My mother made me to drink warm water with honey before going bed. I kept awake late though. The evening nap never is a good idea.

#Day17 2017JAN18

I was feeling little better today. Although didn't have appetite to have breakfast. Anyway, I cleaned my room. Got rid of some text books from high school. And of course got nostalgic for a while. I discovered my diary of year 2012. I never was good at continuing diary.  So it mostly blank. Some pages were covered with my thought and tension of that time. It's been hardly 5 years and now it felt my world was narrowed among my study, family and friends. It was interesting to see how important people from past can lose their position. According to this, it is so normal if important people of this year lose their positions after 5 years. Well, let's not try to make the list if important people here. Getting back to the my daily routine.
I read a book titled 'One Indian Girl' by Chetan Bhagat. It is sad to see how a brilliant writer is sold to the money. I chose the book because it had 'feminist' tag but in real the book was more like a description of a bollywood movie. However,  I was ready to waste time and I did it!
Anyway, I had 'Halim' after more than one year! 'Halim' is basically a spicy soup. Powder of different types of lentils are cooked with meat.Of course various type of spices are used to cook this. It is garnished with mint, cucumber, carrots, ginger, lemon and fried onions while served.

#Day16 2017JAN17

I didn't do much today. Not that I do so many stuffs everyday.  I had cold fever so mostly I was in bed. I had dry fish aka shootki with rice. It was super spicy and toothsome. I watched the movie 'Snowden'. A good movie indeed.
I tried to do some work on online. The Internet was slow and limited data plan made it difficult. I was so disappointed that my parents not agreeing with me to set up wifi at house. Oh well, my younger brother will stop study and play video games all day indeed.
Around evening I had a discussion on human psychology with a friend. None of us really have academic knowledge on this topic but interestingly we have a very good subject. I'm planning to study farther to understand our subject more.
I had 'Dudh-puli Pitha' which is basically oone type of handmade rice cake soaked in coconut milk all night. I had it before soaking all night long though. Still it was delicious. Unfortunately with my almost blocked nose I didn't get the sweet smell of 'Dudh-puli Pitha' or anything else.
Anyway, at night I received two emails that made my day. Yaay!
A guy going to join CNU upcoming semester knocked me on facebook because he was facing trouble with room selection. He knocked me on Facebook because of Soumitra dada's recommendations. Unfortunately I couldn't help him much.

#Day15 2017JAN16

I woke up with a terrible headache.  I was feeling bad from midnight.  Suddenly I felt cold and at morning I had blocked nose. After breakfast and shower I could feel my body temperature is increasing.
I talked with my grandma and she wasn't feeling good too. The cold weather of Northern side of Bangladesh made her sick.
I had a meeting with Liya and her friends but I had to cancel it. I lied on bed and watched a bollywood movie. Amir Khan was good as always. The casting was impressive but the lack of dialogues was unavoidable to notice. The only person really talks is Amir Khan.
After watching the movie I ate sweet potato and had warm milk tea.
My body temperature increased around evening. I wasn't going to take medication but my mother made to have.
Me and my younger brother watch some show. I basically played it so he doesn't talk with me. I had my dinner with fish fry, chicken curry, potato soup and duck egg. It sounds a lot though!

#Day14 2017JAN15

So today I had a meet up to celebrate 15th years of Bangla Wikipedia.  I wanted to go there but around noon I felt too lazy to go outside. However,  I had get out from house because my mothers insisted me to meet an aunt.
On our way to meeting Aunt I met MainUddin Sir. He was our English teacher when I was in Nursery grade. I still remember he taught us how pronounce the word 'Girl' and I was second captain in class till grade 5 because of him. I had his class till grade 5 and it was really surprising to meet him after years. I guess It has been 6 years since I met him last. Suddenly he looked older. I loved the way he reacted though. It was amazing to see he recognised me at very first look.
Anyway, I had date juice with some handmade rice pancake which is named as 'haat-jhara piTha'. It was super yummy! The sweetness was divine!.

I had betel leaf at aunt's place. In our culture we take betel leaf with Areca nut, Calcium Oxide and some other materials.

We walked on our way back. I bought some Shingara. It wasn't the best one but okay.

শনিবার, ১৪ জানুয়ারি, ২০১৭

#Day13 2017JAN14

I woke up super late again. I have a very good excuse though. I talked with my parents till 2am in the morning.  I discussed serious issues and made fun of some stuffs too.
I basically shared some experience and they also told me some interesting stories happened when I wasn't home. My two brothers were asleep when we three were doing this. It was fun!
Anyway, I had my lunch with 'muri ghonto' which basically fish head cooked with lentils. It was tasty! One thing I can confirm you about my mother. She talks a lot (only with we four, though.) and cooks awesome.
I met one of my friend today. Munia is going back to the city she studies.  She might not be able to come again within February.  So we basically said goodbye to each other. I spent some hours together and it felt good. Spending time with old friend at old place. Always feels good.

When we were sitting by the Naval road beside Karnafuly River, three girls came to us and asked to take snaps of them. They addressed us in English. I learned they were from Kashmir, India.  They came to Bangladesh to pursue MBBS degree and they are almost done. We talked for a while and meanwhile found a k-drama fan among them.
K-wave is really spreading very fast. Phew!

#Day12 2017JAN13

Basically wasted another day. Oh well, personally relieved from a big stress. All's well that ends well. I read a novel written by Shirshendu. Actually I reread it. I am so much in need of new books!
It is funny I have so many stuffs to do in Korea and here I'm wasting my time for nothing!  My uncle asked if I would visit them. I didn't lie and tell him I am unable to visit them this year. The thought of having another 13 hours journey by bus cringes me each time.
I rather just sleep, watch movie or read book.
Today I ate polao with rui fish curry. I still wonder how does they differ 'deshi rui' and 'bideshi rui'?
I also had a semi-wrestling match with my younger brother.  Yes, we still do fight. I was going easy on him otherwise I would have won.  Okay, I admit, if I was little more strong I could have win.
Anyway, it's fun to make a team of two and do 'pochafying' aka make fun of other sibling.
That's why you need three siblings at home.

#Day11 2017JAN12

I woke up and my limbs were hurting terribly.  Yesterday after that hiking today I didn't have any energy to move neither motivation.
I had my breakfast and started reading the book.
And finally today I finished it. I got mail from the volunteer program I have applied for. They require an English proficiency test. Well, I will deal with it later, maybe at night.
My mother asked me to help with some shrimps to clean. I cleaned them for her.

At lunch I had Shrimp aka Chingri Malaikari with rice and some vegetables. It was yum! Meanwhile my mother noticed I lost "a bunch of hair" and she poured coconut oil on my scalp. She believes it will help my hair to recover the torture I did. Oops!
At evening my mother made some Puli Pitha, handmade cake with coconut inside. It was sweet and toothsome. Me and my brothers watched WWE for a while. It was interesting to see old wrestlers like Shawn Michael,  Undertaker and so on. Undertaker declared he will return to the main event of Wrestle Mania like he always does from last few years. Oh well, he looks too old to win Royal Rumble this time. We'll see.

Well I didn't need 1 week to wait but take the English test. I was categorized as upper intermediate level. Ungh... my English is getting lower leveled day by day. That's not good.

#Day10 2017JAN11

Today I woke up very early around 6.15am. I packed my backpack for hiking. Me and my younger brother headed to AK Khan gate to meet my friends. We were supposed to be there by 8.30am and others were late. Anyway, we had Porota and Daal as breakfast. Oly was saying this Porota is special. Maybe because it was thicker than usual. We also had milk tea meanwhile Neetu and Munia joined us. Afte we finished breakfast we met Liya and get on a bus towards 'Khoiyachora Waterfall'

It was around one and half hour bus ride when we get off. We took two baby-taxi and reached the place. There were some restaurants. We knew we would be hungry by the time we get down. So we ordered food and started walking. The first waterfall was a 20minutes walking distance. We had to take off our shoes soon as the way was muddy and slippery. The first waterfall was pretty crowded. Right beside it there were ropes to climb. We used the ropes and climbed up the montain. There weren't any stairs and the winter season made the hill wall slippery with dust. It wasn't that difficult once we get used to. We found the second water fall. I can imagine how beautiful thia waterfall would've been in rainy season.

We took some photos and climbed up the fountain. Well this time, there wasn't any rope. We grabbed roots of trees like Tarzan to climb up. We had to walk between mud and water. As the water wasn't flowing like it used to during rainy season so all the stones were covered with slippery moss and Spirogyra. After climbing up 4th waterfall three of ua wanted to get back. No doubt the qay was getting harder and there weren't any other people. Some of us was feeling insecure for obvious reasons.
As most people wanted to keep going so we kept moving. We reached the highest and biggest waterfall it was sad to see the waterfall is at it's old age in this winter. Anyway, we had a choice to summit the hill and we thought why not?

Now the real adventure began. We didn't have any hiking equipment. There wasn't any rope to grab neither any stairs. I basically grabbed the roots of trees and kept pushing ourselves up. It wasn't as easy at it sounds. It was tiresome. We had some snacks at top and ofcourse some photos were taken. We didn't want to be get late. So we started getting down.
It was scary and dangerous. I was worried about my younger brother but he was doing quite fine. I wish I could have taken any photo but trust me that was too dangerous to concentrate on any other thing but getting down safely. Sourov, Shakil and I were able to came down faster. Munia was doing well too. So as Liya. I guesa Nitu was facing trouble. Sakib and Oly helped her though.
Anyway, on our mid way we stopped. We threw water to each other. Sakib totally drenched me. Oly was the only one who survived from getting wet. Shakil had a shower with that ice cold water.

We were the only team there so we hurried. After getting down each of us were hungry. When we reached the restaurant we ordered food previously we were tired and covered with mud and dust.
We freshened ourselves and had our food. Spicy chicken, lentils, spicy mashed potatoes and rice.
Then we took taxi and later bus. Three guys left early and Liya headed to her dormitory. We, remaining four took taxi to home. It took around three hours to return from there though.
I freshened myself, had some food. Wrote the biggest post ever on this blog.
End of all, a day well spend. I'm glad.

#Day09 2017JAN10

I wasn't feeling so good today. I woke up early and saw a message from Ms. Danbi. I replied her instantly. I wasn't feeling good and didn't have my breakfast. No doubt my mother was upset about it. Anyway, ahe cooked biriyani with fried Hilsha. It was delicious. I ate some piece of fish before lunch.
I didn't do anything much but read the book. It is quite fun to read actually. Now I remember I have watched the movie of first book. I will definitely buy the second book. At night Soumitra dada called me and I contacted with Mukul dada. I had a short discussion over my conference funding. Seems like I still need to take care of my flight tickets and pocket money. Oh well, I will figure that out.
I couldn't sleep early as I had a nap at afternoon. Still I went to bed early as I had plan to do stuffs on next day.

সোমবার, ৯ জানুয়ারি, ২০১৭

#Day08 2017JAN09

Today once again I woke up late. Seems like it is being a habit. My father was trying to put some stuffs under my bed and that woke me up. Did I mention there has been development going on in our building? Previously it was three storeyed building this time I found people are working on the window of fifth floor.
This also proves I am no longer sleeping in my own room. I mean, yes. That's my room but this time I'm not feeling this as mine. Things are changed and shifted. I'm not even locking the door at night! Well the only thing didn't change is the clock. Nobody from my family seems to be aware that the battery of this wall clock is dead for 3 years!

Anyway, after breakfast I started watching Sherlock season 3. After watching first episode I started watching a marvel movie- Thor. After facing terrible traffic jam I am not going out today.
One of old friend of my father came to visit us today. It was funny to see he brought litchi flavored gel like he was used to when I was kid! After a really long time I had this tiny gel again.

I had Vapa Pitha aka handmade smoked cake and milk tea at evening. For lunch I had beef, lentils and rice. There were mixed vegetables as well. My mom cooked chicken curry for the dinner. I'm pretty sure vegetarian people are going to be mad at my diet chart.

রবিবার, ৮ জানুয়ারি, ২০১৭

#Day07 2017JAN08

Well, last night I fall asleep really early as a result I woke up before sun rise.  I can hear my younger brother breathing heavily from next bed. I walked a little inside home and then slept again.
I had handmade rooti with beef bone stew. My mother reserved some palm juice for me and she made taal pitha aka Palm Cake for me. Last night I asked if there's any way to reserved Jackfruit and from then she is just talking about how she could have preserve some but didn't. Why on Earth I've even remind her this! I've failed to convince her I can't eat all of things I missed throughout year within my first week here.

Yesterday I made sure my place for the conference. I informed it to Dr. Bom and she asked for an email. I just sent her the mail and noticed Soumitra dada had commented on all of my posts. I forgot to mention the phone call he made just before my departure from Korea. Oh well, he also was keeping update thoroughout my journey to Bangladesh.
I had attended a concert today. Basically local 5 bands performed. Some of them covered songs from System of Down, Bullet for my Valentine and so on. I bought a 'Iron Maiden' T-shirt for my younger brother.
Anyway, it took me more than two hours to reach home. Welcome to Bangladesh!

#Day06 2017JAN07

My day started with waking up late. I had 'Vapa Pitha' as my breakfast. I was facing trouble with Internet and my father said it is slow all over the country for some reasons.
I worked on some financial aspects of the KASC. I started reading a book I got  from Ali on Christmas. My mother cooked 'Ilish Mach' aka Hilsha Fish for lunch. It was super delicious. She is still complaining that I don't eat enough rice. A friend of my father called and said his daughter wants to talk with me. I don't even know the guy let alone the daughter. Anyway, I talked with her for a while and she asked my facebook profile. Oh well,  I said her to look up my name on Facebook though. I tried to watch a comedy movie but it didn't work out.  I showed my father how I transfer money using online banking system. I shared some of my travel story with him too. He needed to take a nap so I returned my room and tried to figure out what should I do.
Finally at afternoon I changed my mobile network and got access to my google account. I created this blog and posted all the posts I've written till now. I didn't go out today.
At night I had beef bone stew with rice. It was so delicious I over ate. Still I feel it is too much noisy at home and even outside. Maybe I need some more time to get along with the noise.

I wish there was a cafe nearby I can spend sometime alone.

#Day05 2017JAN06

I woke up around 6 in the morning and everyone was asleep. So I slept again and woke up around 10am. I had my shower and had rooti with vegetables on breakfast. There were beef vuna too. I didn't take tea but started unpacking my stuffs. I took out the sim card my friend provided me and currently in am out of internet access again. I tried to watch television but there were nothing particular I can enjoy.
At noon a friend of mine came to visit me. We had small chat over different things. Around afternoon two other came. We tried to make plan to visit some places. Let's see if they are available.

I got access in internet but for some reason I cannot use my bank app neither any google app is working. I realized, my family members talk a lot. It's just been around 24 hours.

#Day04 2017JAN05

We arrived around 6 at the morning. Meanwhile my legs started hurting badly. I was afraid if I would be able to make another 6 or more hours journey again. I keep telling myself one more bus journey and you are done. We went to my friend place. She lives in 6th floor and the elevator doesn't work at that early in the morning. It was the tallest sixth floor ever!

I freshened myself and had a short nap of 2 hours. I bade my friend and her room mate.
My bus was from 10.30am.It took around 3hours to leave Dhaka city. On my way I just had a banana, a packet of crackers and a coffee. However, I reached home around 8.00pm
I had my shower and dinner. Beef vuna, vegetables curry and rice- you don't need to be a foodie to adore this taste.
I went to bed to sleep around 11o'clock.

#Day03 2017JAN04

Our bus to Chapainobabgonj was exactly at 12am. That's how my third day started. We had to face several traffic jam and unfortunately our seat was at very last row. So the 8 hours journey wasn't that pleasant in real. Oh well, I enjoyed talking with Rubina after a long time. Although she was having phone call frequently. When she was engaged in talking over phone I wrote some stuffs. We had a 40mins of break and that restaurant was too much hurry to shut down their door. We ended up buying some sweets and water. Sadly couldn't get a coffee.
When we reached Chapainobabgonj we had our breakfast which was super delicious and really cheap; less than 2USD. After a really long time I tasted some real onions.

Our transportation experience wasn't that awesome. Honestly I'm disappointed with the driver and his attitude towards us. I understand we were new people there and he had a chance to grab some extra money from us. He could have done that without being so mean. Anyway, unlike me, my friend didn't let him go easily.Once we reached our destination 'Sona Masjid' & 'Graveyard of one of the bravest freedom fighter of Bangladesh, Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir' Rubina made sure that driver apologize for his mean behavior.
The mosque wasn't in its best condition. There was a huge bee hive on a wall.
After spending some time there we decided to visit another city. This time we took local bus and we had to transfer once. This bus journey took almost 2 hours or more in total. We were hungry and couldn't make time to buy any food on our way. We had two left over sweets and we finished them. I had a short nap meanwhile.
Unfortunately, when we went to buy ticket for our next destination we found there isn't any decent bus service on that route. We can make it if we are ready to transfer bus at mid night. Apparently my friend felt sick and tired so we cancelled the plan booked ticket to Dhaka again.
After that we went to have some food. We had rice, beef and vegetables this time. It was a calm place so even after finishing our food we kept sitting for a while. My friend started talking over phone again so I started writing again.
After that, we moved to have Malai Tea. Which is basically super sweet milk tea with milk fat floating on top. Honestly, I didn't like it that much. My friend asked me to order for another one with low sugar.

Then we walked to bus station and chatted till we get hungry. We had spicy chicken curry and khichuri for dinner. We had our bus at 11.20pm. Before we get on the bus Rubina met a friend of her. I didn't know that guy personally so I said hi and he didn't reply. Oh well, maybe didn't notice me. So I left them and waited for her on bus. The driver of this bus was a crazy driver indeed. I felt like I'm riding on a simple version of any rolar coaster. I was too tired and fall in asleep. It wasn't a nice sleep though. My legs were cold and hurting a lot. For the first time I regret for not giving myself some rest but torturing by travelling here to there.

#Day02 2017JAN03

I safely reached Kunming Airport around 1.10am local time. I informed the Dhaka hotel owner beforehand that I would stay on their place. This time me , another Bangladeshi guy along with two Nepalese guys went to the Dhaka Hotel. I got a single room and the bed heater was there to save me from cold. I had some delicious Bangladeshi food before I go to sleep. All over the hotel was pretty nice experience considering the amount I paid.
On my way I met a professor of Rajshahi University. He had over weight baggage. So I volunteered to carry one of his baggage as mine. We were allowed to carry to baggage each maximum 23kgs. My small bag was only 10kgs.
However, our flight was delayed more than one hour. It must be unbelievable but we waited inside to arrive one of our co-passenger. I believe he was late because his previous flight. We reached Dhaka around 3.00pm local time. It was so hot I was sweating in this 'winter' season. The professor offered me a lift till 'Mirpur Sare Egaro'  which means 'Mirpur 11 and half'! Yes, that's what they named it. Professor's brother, sister in law, nephew and father-in-law came to receive him. So the car was quite full already. It was awkward to be seated with them in whole road.
Their driver helped me to get a taxi and I went to meet my friend at Mazar Road, infront of the big mosque.
I didn't have any Bangladeshi sim card in my phone so without any internet or phone call my phone was literally a piece to play games and listen music. That's what I did!
I kept contact with my friend using the cell phone of taxi driver. Oh well, he took maybe 2X amount than the average taxi fare.
After I get fresh we went to have some pasta. That was quite a 'travel' for some pasta. I found passing the same road for third times within an hour. Unfortunately it wasn't even real pasta; not creamy enough. They served a lot though and I was really hungry so almost finished it.
Then, my friend went for some work and I was supposed to wait for her at sixth floor.

Somehow I ended up waiting at 3rd floor. I ordered an Americano with syrup one time. They served me a mug of coffee with a bowl of sugar. Soon it get awkward as the guy keep returning to me if I want to order anything else. I said, I'm waiting for someone still he kept walking around my table and checking out  my coffee mug.
When I was getting super awkward my friend was freaked out over there. As I didn't have a phone that works, not enough money above all a new city- I don't blame her. Maybe she forgot I dealt with new city with language barrier! It's not really the worst case scenario. However I appreciate her concern.
After almost an hour 3 guys came and asked me if I'm guest of my friend. I moved to 6th floor with them. Soon she appeared with her friends. They seemed pretty nice. One of guy overreacted when I tried to crack a joke. People cab be get butthurt that easily! Soon I lost my interest to talk so I remain silent till we left. Anyway, on our way we booked ticket to another city. We had two hours to get ready for the journey.

#Day01 2017JAN02

My journey to Bangladesh basically started with taking a taxi U square at 3.00pm. I totally forgot to print my e-ticket and was afraid if my phone battery dies before I become able to show it. Fortunately nothing happened like that. After a four hours long journey I had reached Inchon Airport. We had 15mins break on mid way. Inchon Airport it is one of the biggest airport in world. After checking in and immigration I had to take a shuttle train and a long walk to reach the gate 28. I reached earlier than I thought and I was hungry.
So I went for a hot crispy chicken burger from lotteria, it wasn't that sad that it used to be in general though.

However, good bye to the burger for two months. The China Eastern Airlines probably own the tiniest seat for passengers. I'm glad that I lose my weight and extra fat during last one year. I felt really pity for the Chinese woman in my left though.  On my right seat another Bangladeshi female student was seated. We had some chat. She was pretty friendly and took my contact number to keep in touch in future. We were provided Rice with Korean style cooked pork with mashroom and carrots as dinner. They also gave us butter and bread.
I had a watery instant coffee it wasn't as bad as it sounds. At least helped to get rid of my headache.
